Seyiga Abdullswabul is a Ugandan legal professional, writer, and researcher with a deep passion for justice, legal education, and storytelling. Holding an LLB from the Islamic University in Uganda and currently pursuing an LLM in International Law at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), he brings both academic insight and practical experience to his work.
With a background in judicial service, Seyiga has firsthand knowledge of the intricacies of Uganda’s legal system. His writing blends legal expertise with compelling narratives, making complex legal principles accessible to both legal practitioners and the general public. He has published several articles in The Daily Monitor and The Sunrise Newspaper, tackling critical issues on law, governance, and human rights.
His latest book, Beneath the Robe: Tales of Criminal Justice from the Magistrate’s Court, is an eye-opening exploration of Uganda’s criminal justice system, offering readers a unique blend of legal education and immersive storytelling.
When he’s not in the courtroom or writing, Seyiga is actively involved in youth legal aid initiatives and advocacy against child labor, aiming to make justice more accessible to the most vulnerable.
